Deposits And Payments

A non-refundable deposit of R200 per person is required to confirm a reservation. Balance of payment is due not less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the trail. Reservations made within 30 days before departure date must be paid in full.

Non Waiver

These terms and conditions, and the information given in Adventure Runners pamphlets and other official literature of Adventure Runners, constitute the entire relationship between parties. There exists no other terms and conditions regulating their relationship. No amendment, cancellation or waiver of any terms or right referred to herein, shall be binding unless reduced to writing and signed by both parties.

Insurance

Participants are advised to take out travel insurance at their own cost. Please be aware that your insurance should cover the activities associated with outdoor adventure tours & the related activities.

Group Bookings

Group bookings require a single reservation form to be completed by whomever will be liable for the full group payments. However, each person attending a tour, must complete the personal information and indemnity forms which should accompany the booking form or be sent to Adventure Runners as soon as possible. It is important to realise that NO person will be allowed to participate in any tour or trail without completing the required forms first.

Rescue And Medical Assistance

In the unlikely event of rescue and medical assistance being used other than provided by Adventure Runners, the participants shall be liable for the entire cost thereof.

Minors & young adults under the age of 21

Reservations for children under 14 years of age are acceptable only if they are accompanied by an adult. The legal guardian of anyone under the age of 21 years of age is required to sign the personal information and indemnity forms.

Cancellations Of Reservations by Clients

1. Deposits will be forfeited if a confirmed reservation is cancelled.
2. Cancellations made more than 21 days before a trail - Balance of payment will be refunded.
3. Cancellations made within 21 days of trip Balance of payment will be forfeited but will be held in credit towards a future reservation made within 12 months.
4. Cancellations made within 14 days of a trip - Full of payment will be forfeited.

Cancellations By Adventure Runners

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a trip by Adventure Runners due to any cause, Adventure Runners will make every effort to offer an alternative trip, but if the alternative is not acceptable, the participant will be entitled to an immediate and full refund.

If the fulfilment of a trail is rendered impossible or inadvisable due to weather or any other factor where Adventure Runners ability to carry out trails is frustrated by events beyond its control, Adventure Runners may, in its discretion, either cancel a trail or divert the trail to another area, in which case the booking made shall automatically be regarded as a booking for the substitute trail.

If any person is in breach of any of the terms and conditions or tour safety rules and regulations (provided at the start of a tour), we reserve the right to cancel a booking immediately without refund.

Postponements by Clients

• Postponements are only valid for a period of 12 months from booking confirmation.
• Any postponements requested by clients more than 45 days before the trip departure date will not be liable for additional fees.
• Any postponements requested by clients less than 45 days before departure will be liable for a 25% additional fee per person.

Prices

All fees include South African Value Added Tax. All fees quoted are subject to change without notice. Adventure Runners reserves the right to impose a surcharge on participants to recover any increased costs beyond Adventure Runners control - such as increase in permit fees, campsite fees, food and fuel. If any surcharge exceeds 15% of the total excursion fee the participant may cancel within 7 days of the date of notification issued by Adventure Runners.
